Ramos Pinto Porto Tawny is three years old, the same age as Ramos Pinto Porto Ruby; however, it has a more evolved aroma due to greater oxygenation due to its aging in barrels. This oxygenation also changes its color, which goes from an intense red to a more orange tone. Aging adds complexity in flavors and aromas.
