Termanthia 2013 - 2015

Founded in 1998, Bodega Numanthia, located in Valdefinjas, in the northwest of Spain, in Castilla y León, is an emblematic winery in the Toro region. The vineyard is a mosaic of more than one hundred small vine plots, with an average area of ​​less than 1 Ha. They are very old vines, some over 120 years old, which guarantees complexity and great richness. Termanthia is the maximum expression of Tinta de Toro. Made from vines that are up to 150 years old, this wine has great fruit intensity and a broad body; elegant and very complex. In each glass of Termanthia, there is more than a century of history, an artisan elaboration and a "haute couture" style.

Tasting note:

Deep dark red color with garnet rim and dense texture

Of a unique complexity, with multiple aromatic layers. To the ripe plum and cherry, touches of violet and black olive are added, offering a wine with balance and harmony.

On the palate, it shows a generous volume, with firm and fine tannins. The structure, complex and intense, gives an elegant and balanced wine in which the subtle and complex aromas of mocha, tobacco and dried figs are perfectly integrated with the black fruit. The finish is long and persistent with mineral, spicy and smoky notes.
