Muga Crianza 2016

Founded in 1932 in the mythical Barrio de la Estación de Haro, in La Rioja, Bodegas Muga has managed to preserve its place over generations among the great classics of Spanish wine. Fermentation with indigenous yeast in oak tanks. Aged for 24 months in barrels made with selected oaks in our cooperage. Prior to bottling, clarification is carried out with fresh egg white. Once in the bottle, it will undergo a refining process for at least twelve months in our cellar.

Data sheet

Grape: Tempranillo 70%, Garnacha 20%, Mazuelo and Graciano 10%.

Alcoholic degree: 14% Vol.

Serving temperature: between 16 and 18 °C.

Bottle: 75cl.

Tasting note:

Ruby red in color with brick reflections. A dense tear, which gives us an enveloping sequence in the glass. Notes of red fruits, such as blackberries and hints of spices can be appreciated. All this very well harmonized with smoky aromas from its time in wood with a light-medium toast. The vanilla bean is present in the background with notes of coffee. It has a sweet attack, an enveloping tannin with hints of menthol. To highlight an interesting final persistence in the mouth. Pairs with white beef, Iberian meats and some type of stew.
