Matarromera Crianza 2018

In the heart of the Ribera del Duero, the Matarromera Winery has its semi-buried warehouses on the north slope of the Duero Valley, with beautiful views that dominate the entire valley, in the municipality of Valbuena de Duero, in Valladolid. Matarromera Crianza is aged for 12 months in 225-liter American oak barrels from US forests located in the Appalachian Mountains. They are barrels of fine grain and medium toasting. During its aging, the wine will remain in rooms with controlled humidity, subdued lighting. The wine is followed in detail during its aging, therefore, halfway through it is racked, to return to the barrel again until the end of the aging. Ten months in the bottle before going on the market complete the process of this classic.

Tasting note:

Matarromera Crianza has a very deep cherry red color with abundant violet tones along the way. Intense and highly complex, in which powerful aromas of very ripe black fruits coexist in harmony with spicy tones and aromas of new and noble wood. It is a tasty wine, with a generous mid palate and a powerful and long finish. It has the elegance and intensity typical of the best Ribera de Duero.
