The Mule of Stillness.
La Mula de la Quietud is a red wine from the DO Toro produced by the Quinta de la Quietud winery. This winery is located in the town of Toro , to the east of the province of Zamora. It is a single varietal Tinta de Toro ( Tempranillo ) wine, it is a garage wine, that is, a wine made with its own resources and in a very personal way.
The grapes come from very old vineyards, between 80 and 100 years old, with yields of less than 100kg/ha. The vineyards are planted on loamy-clay-sandy soils, at an altitude of between 665 and 700 m.
To make La Mula de la Quietud, the must is first macerated for 18-20 days, followed by aging in new French oak barrels for 20 months. It is a modern cut wine with a very limited production.

Ripe red wine with intense aromas of ripe black fruit, sweet spices and hints of cocoa. On the palate it is powerful, deep and very complex. It shows silky tannins, a good structure and a pleasant fruity flavor that persists until the end.
