Malabrigo

Malabrigo is the name of the plot that designates Cepa 21's most emblematic wine. The plot is characterized by its sandy-clay soil and harsh weather conditions, with large temperature fluctuations between day and night. All these aspects mean that in this plot the concept of terror reaches extraordinary values and gives our wine great character.

The cool temperatures at the beginning of spring and the abundant rains slightly delayed bud break in the vineyard. The summer had slightly higher than normal temperatures, with the month of September being particularly dry. Accumulated soil water reserves were sufficient to maintain optimal plant performance. As a result, it was a year of abundant, balanced and highly ripe harvest.
