Milestone

Hito red wine is versatility made wine. It is the youngest range of red wines from Bodegas Cepa 21, but it is already making a name for itself and this is reflected in its combination of nuances, its modernity and the elegance that is evident in each glass.

The word "HITO" means a stone post, sometimes carved, which is used to indicate the direction or distance on the roads or to delimit land.

A landmark red wine, it is presented as the young Tempranillo but with a vocation for aging from Bodegas Cepa21, and brings freshness and harmony to the range of wines from a modern and innovative Ribera del Duero winery. Made with the vineyards of the winery but grafted with the Tinto Fino clone selected from the most emblematic vineyards of Bodegas Emilio Moro.

It is made with the selection of Tempranillo grapes from the lowest altitude vineyards of Bodegas Cepa 21, providing the freshness and intensity of the fruit. Then, it ferments at a controlled temperature in steel tanks for 30 days and the subsequent stay in French oak barrels helps it gain seriousness and complexity so that it is not just a young wine, but a very versatile wine.

Tasting note:

Hito is presented with a cherry red color with violet rims. On the nose it is frank and expressive, where the primary aromas of tempranillo, blackberry and currant stand out in their freshest version. On the palate it is very pleasant and easy to drink. It is balanced and with a good pace, accompanied by good acidity.
