Contador. 2014 9L
It has been a while since this internationally famous winemaker made his wines in the garage of his parents' house in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, and since then the prestige of Benjamín Romeo wines has continued to rise. After his double 100 Parker points in 2004 and 2005, Contador is present in haute cuisine in the main cities of the Globe. Less than 6,000 bottles of this vintage have hit the market, 100% Tempranillo and aged for 19 months in new French oak barrels.
Grape: 100% Tempranillo.
Alcoholic degree: 14.5% Vol.
Serving temperature: between 16 and 18 °C.
Brilliant wine of black fruit, cherry, blackberry.
Infinite aromas in this superior wine that, beyond a great balance between new wood and black fruits, offers many aromatic nuances of forest herbs (rosemary, thyme).
It powerfully announces the future of a sublime wine, perfect for aging, although its immediate consumption is now adequate. A long journey for this enveloping Tempranillo full of fruit and an elegant memory of its time in the barrel.
It combines perfectly with red meat, venison, roasts, tasty vegetable stews, and intensely flavored cheeses.
