The Cane Albariño. 2022
The Cane Albariño
In the eighties there were only 5 wineries that produced Albariño . Jorge Ordoñez was the first Albariño exporter to the United States and his idea was an immediate success. Natalie Christensen, a winemaker from New Zealand, is the creator of this wine, for which she only uses the aforementioned variety. It is a white from small plots located in the northernmost area of the DO Rías Baixas and partially fermented in barrels , which gives it a more unctuous character .
Grape: Albariño (100%)
Alcoholic degree: 13.5% vol.
Serving temperature: Between 7 and 10 °C.
In the mouth it is unctuous, dry and very fresh. High acidity that balances it and gives it depth. Medium finish of pleasant persistence. Pale golden color with steely edges. Very clean and very bright, it shows a very fine and elegant tear. On the nose it is medium intensity, clean and defined, aromas of yellow stone fruit, citrus and tropical notes and floral hints form a very harmonious whole.
