Muga Prado Enea Gran Reserva

Founded in 1932 in the mythical Barrio de la Estación de Haro, in La Rioja, Bodegas Muga has managed to preserve its place over generations among the great classics of Spanish wine.

Along with the Torre Muga grapes, the Prado Enea grapes are always the last to enter the winery. With this we ensure optimal maturation. The grapes always ferment in oak tanks with a capacity of 10,000 kg without temperature control or the addition of yeast.

The maceration is variable, but can last up to twenty days. This wine is aged for twelve months in 16,000-litre oak tanks, thirty-six months in oak barrels (minimum), and thirty-six months (minimum) in the bottle. After aging, a light clarification with egg white is carried out.

Data sheet

Grape: 80% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano.

Alcoholic grade: 14% Vol.

Operating temperature: 16º C.

Bottle: 1.5L

tasting note

Wine of cherry red color, high robe and medium density . Delicate and fresh, at first impression it reminds us of red fruits (blackberry type), notes of spices such as cinnamon and a touch of toasted aging reminding us of cedar, nuances of vanilla berries and autumn leaves. A very well integrated wood is appreciated.

In the mouth it is fresh, long, with a very integrated acidity; the tannin begins to polish and does so deliciously and elegantly. It is a frank wine with great aging power .

Combine with stews, meats and even enjoy it as a drink.
