Valquejigoso V2

A winery that surprises both for its careful vineyard and for its impressive production area, completely underground, located in the town of Villamanta, in Madrid. From among the 69 different plots of red varieties that make up the Valquejigoso vineyard, the best wines are selected each year for the final blend of V2. This wine expresses the character of the environment, the minerality of the soils where it is grown and conveys the message of the weather on the set of grape varieties that make it up. As in all vintages, its production is limited.

Grape: 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Petit Verdot, 11% Tempranillo, 9% Cabernet Franc, 8% Negral.

Alcoholic degree: 13.5% Vol.

Serving temperature: between 16 and 18 °C.

Tasting note:

Intense cherry red colour. It is a complex wine with notes of cocoa, chocolate, ripe black fruit: plums, blueberries, blackberries, minerality in the form of graphite, hints of liqueur chocolate along with aromas of balsamic and scrubland and fine spices. On the palate it is very fresh, with very firm but elegant tannins. Keep balance between fruit and minerality.

Valquejigoso V2 2007 can harmonize with any type of cuisine and is perfect for pairing with cold meats and select preserves.
