Christmas is a time to come together…even if there are just a few

Christmas at Bravo always has two points of view: the one of those who enter our store looking for the perfect gift and the best menu ever; and the one of our team, who works like no other month of the year so all those our client's projects go ahead. The effort it takes for us to be able to respond to all our demand is always compensated by seeing the store full of life and bustling, and it amuses us to see how each person chooses a product or thinks about their dishes for their most special gatherings.

But above all, we love being able to accompany you and advise you from our experience. Ninety years offering the best of gastronomy has allowed us to try and experiment to be able to recommend and hit what you need at Christmas parties.

That so many Madrid and non-Madrileños choose Mantequerías Bravo on these days of family and celebration is a great honor for us, and for this reason, for decades we have adapted to each family, to their tastes, the number of diners and their particular needs. Plated in their crockery, trays with which to work less; only salty, or only sweet; champagne to toast, and a wine that pairs well with the host's best recipe.

This Christmas has surprised us with a new wave of COVID infections when we expected to organize the biggest family celebrations ever told. But the initial disappointment has passed these days to the same illusion as always: to want the table to be perfect, and the menu, even better. As always, ham, salmon and foie are triumphant in our store this Christmas, but the pickled partridge that we suggested as a different menu in El Mundo a few days ago has also made it the protagonist. Duck confit with truffle sauce and panettone as an alternative to the traditional dessert have also gained followers. A few hours away from celebrating Christmas Eve and Christmas, it is time to get together, whoever we are.
