Pio Cesare Barolo

Pio Cesare's Barolo is a classic product with a hint of modernity: as tradition dictates, its grapes come from the vineyards of Serralunga d'Alba, Grinzane Cavour, La Morra, Barolo, Novello, Castiglione Falletto and Monforte. After a long fermentation, the wine matures for three years in French oak barrels but also in large-capacity butts, which represents an innovation in the traditional process.

Data sheet

Grape: Nebbiolo

Alcoholic degree: 14.5% Vol.

Service temperature: 16 °C and 18 °C

Bottle: 75cl.

Tasting Note:

The result is a balanced wine, characterized by firm but moderate tannins, and a frank and direct interpretation of the extraordinary nebbiolo. On the nose, it conquers the game between sweet notes, of dried plums and jam, and the freshest notes, balsamic and licorice. On the palate it is fine, clean and persistent, with an accessible and extraordinarily satisfying drink.
