La Faraona is the jewel of the winery. Just over half a hectare in the vertiginous area of ​​El Ferro, southeast facing, with very steep slopes and an altitude that oscillates between 800 and 860 meters. The plot is planted with 70-year-old Mencía vines grown in goblet with a density of 7,000 vines/ha on soil that is characterized by being located on a tectonic fault and in which, thanks to possible eruptions, minerals such as cobalt and titanium apart from iron, manganese and pyrites. La Faraona 2016 was harvested on October 2, with yields of 24.54 hl/ha. La Faraona 2016 is made up of 95% Mencía, 3% white varieties (Jerez and Godello) and 2% red varieties such as Alicante, Bouschet and Gran Negro.

Tasting note:

La Faraona is a wine with an elegant red color and garnet rim. On the nose, we perceive from the first moment floral and herbaceous aromas that are combined with notes of fruit and anise. Having in the mouth a red with excellent definition and great minerality. Fresh and aromatic with fluid tannins, as well as a perfect mid palate
